Weekend of November 8

Adults: three ways to deepen your roots!

Faith grows best with people who know your name and walk with you through life. Find your people in a small group, or join a men’s group on Monday evenings or Thursday mornings, or a women’s group on Tuesday evenings. For more information, email Jennifer Fair.

Save the date: Kids Christmas Choir - December 20
As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, Oaks Kids (ages 3 and up) will share a special Christmas song during our Sunday service on December 20! We’ll have a brief stage rehearsal after service on December 13. Mark your calendars for a special morning of celebrating Jesus together! For more information or if you have questions, email Kayleigh Allred.

High schoolers: Register now for Deepen
Life is loud, and it’s easy for students to get distracted. Deepen, January 15-17, 2027, is a weekend retreat where high schoolers can step away from the noise, dive into God’s Word, and learn rhythms that build a lasting faith. With teaching, spiritual practices, camp activities and outdoor fun, plus our leaders guiding the way, this weekend will deepen students’ foundation for walking with Jesus. Details and registration for Deepen are available here. Questions? Email Cody Baader.

Is baptism your next step?
We’re celebrating baptisms with brunch on November 22, at Oltman! Invite your friends, family, and neighbors to join us for a morning of worship and good food. Pancakes will be provided, but our brunch won’t be complete without your help! Register and sign up to bring a potluck brunch item here.

Give kids a Christmas to remember
Help local families in Dayton’s Bluff by bringing a new, unwrapped toy to church any Sunday from November 22 to December 6. Want to see the impact up close? Volunteer at the Hope for the Brave Holiday Event on Friday, December 18, from 5–7 pm. Questions? Email Melissa Borner.

Get all your Oaks events in one place!
Want an easy way to stay connected with what’s happening? Church Center is your one-stop shop for upcoming events, registrations, serving, small groups, and more. It’s also how you ensure your contact information is up to date and that you’re receiving emails from Oaks. Get connected through Church Center so you don’t miss what’s happening and can easily find your next step. Church Center is available wherever you get your apps. Questions? Email Jennifer Fair.

You’re invited to the Financial Townhall (and the Congregational Meeting!)
Our annual congregational meeting always provides the special opportunity to look ahead together and hear about the direction God is leading us. Since we are now a church of two campuses, both our financial and our vision conversations need more space. This year, we’re making a change to protect that moment and to give you a better way to engage with our finances. Join us for the Financial Townhall, Thursday, November 12, 6- 7 pm, at Five Oaks. You’ll hear all the details about budgets and ask any questions you have. And of course, make plans to join us for our congregational meeting on Sunday, November 15, 4 pm, also at Five Oaks. Food and fellowship will follow the congregational meeting. Questions? Email Brian Burquest.

Guys, build community and grow in faith
You don’t have to follow Jesus alone. Oaks Men’s small groups are a place to grow in God’s word, pray together, and build strong relationships with other men. Groups meet Thursday mornings at 7 am at the Hy-Vee restaurant and Monday evenings at 7:45 pm, and will alternate between the Blackwells ’ home and the Dixons’ home. Interested in finding a group that works for you? Email Jake Dixon,  jdixon@oakscg.church.
