Weekend of March 22
Join us at Cottage Grove Middle School for baptisms and brunch
We’re doing something special next Sunday, March 29! Since Oltman Middle School isn’t available, we’ll gather offsite at Cottage Grove Middle School for a potluck and baptisms — a day to connect, laugh, and celebrate as one church family. This is the perfect Sunday to invite friends, neighbors, and co-workers to experience the joy and community of Oaks Church. Register here.
Interested in baptism?
Many people sense God inviting them to take a next step—but aren’t always sure what that looks like. Baptism is a powerful way to publicly declare new life in Christ, and we’re preparing for our next baptism service on March 29.If you’ve been wondering whether this step is for you or simply want to learn more, email Henry Michael at henrymw@oakscg.church.
Be part of what God is doing in Oaks Kids
One consistent adult can make an eternal difference in a child’s life. As our Kids ministry grows, so does an opportunity to multiply our elementary small groups— moving from two classrooms to three — so kids can be discipled more intentionally. We do that by training and equipping new small group leaders who are willing to jump in and help show Jesus’ love to our kids. The commitment is just once a month, and everything you need — training, curriculum, and support — is provided. You don’t have to be a Bible expert; you simply have to be willing to show up and build relationships. One consistent adult can make an eternal difference in a child’s life. Email Kayleigh Allred, kallred@oakscg.church, to learn more.
Youth group worship night next week
One of the highlights at youth group is our time of worship. Students share that they appreciate how powerfully the Holy Spirit moves through music, and worshiping God shoulder-to-shoulder with their friends and leaders is a key aspect of growth and community. Your students won’t want to miss our worship night on March 25 at Five Oaks, featuring worship led by Dan Hartke, the director at Wood Lake Camp. Our schedule will stay the same (MS 6-8 pm; HS 7-9 pm), but worship will include that special Wood Lake Camp flavor.
Help us welcome our visitors well this Easter
We will have two worship services on Easter Sunday, 9 am and 11 am. This is a great opportunity to jump in and try a new serve role, whether it’s in Oaks Kids or in Connections. Click a button below to find your place to serve!

Register now to bike, run, or walk with your family and friends, to help provide clean water where it’s needed most. THIS WEEKEND you can use the promo code ‘CLEANWATER’ (in honor of World Water Day) and get a $15 discount per registration. Details and registration here.
Do you ask good questions?
Our Sermon Application Guide (SAG) is the heartbeat of our small groups, turning the weekend message into Monday’s action. We are looking for writers and editors to help craft the very questions that spark breakthrough and discipleship across our church! If you have a knack for asking “the right question” or a love for deep diving into scripture, we need your insight. Help us bridge the gap between hearing the Word and living it out together. Interested? Email Liza Halverson.
