Weekend of November 2
Mark you calendar for baptisms and brunch!
We’re doing something special on Sunday, November 23! Since Oltman Middle School isn’t available, we’ll gather offsite at Cottage Grove Middle School for a Friendsgiving potluck and baptisms — a day to connect, laugh, and celebrate as one church family. This is the perfect Sunday to invite friends, neighbors, and co-workers to experience the joy and community of Oaks Church. More details and food registration coming soon! Email Henry Michael, henrymw@oakscg.church, if you’re interested in baptism.
Still have a few Hope for the Brave donations?
Hope for the Brave is a nonprofit run by Jennifer Flaherty. We’ve been collecting donations for an event they hold in December that serves kids and families in need in St.Paul’s Dayton’s Bluff neighborhood. If you still have donations to drop off, please do so this weekend or next at the Welcome Desk. Questions? Email impact@fiveoakschurch.org. Please return all donations by November 9.
Find your place
If you’re new around Oaks Church, we’d love to help you get connected. The two best ways to start building community are by joining a small group or finding a place to serve—it’s where real friendships form and faith grows. Just stop by the Welcome Table after the service. We can’t wait to help you get connected!
Are you at least 5 years old? This one’s for you
Feed My Starving Children is one way to get your whole family involved in providing nutrient-rich meals to some of the world’s most impoverished areas. Join your Five Oaks family at FMSC in Eagan on November 1, at 9:30 am, to pack meals together. Kids as young as 5 years old are welcome to serve with their parents! Details are here — register today! Questions? Email Dave Baar, impact@fiveoakschurch.org.
Men, jump into real community with other guys
Guys, take a midweek pause to dig into God’s Word, build friendships, and grow your faith. Join us Wednesdays at 6:15 pm at Oltman Middle School. Have questions or want details? Email Scott Halverson, scotthalverson@yahoo.com—we’d love to see you there!
Deepen: A high school winter retreat
Life is loud, and it’s easy for students to get distracted. Deepen, January 16-18, 2026, is a weekend retreat where high schoolers can step away from the noise, dive into God’s Word, and learn rhythms that build a lasting faith. With teaching, spiritual practices, camp activities, and Five Oaks leaders guiding the way, this isn’t just a getaway—it’s a foundation for walking with Jesus. Details and registration at www.fiveoaks.church/students. Questions? Email Brooke Ramsey, bramsey@fiveoakschurch.org.
