Weekend of February 22

Interested in baptism?

Many people sense God inviting them to take a next step—but aren’t always sure what that looks like. Baptism is a powerful way to publicly declare new life in Christ, and we’re preparing for our next baptism service on March 29. If you’ve been wondering whether this step is for you or simply want to learn more, email Henry Michael at henrymw@oakscg.church.

Making generosity simpler
We’re moving our church giving to a new platform housed in the Church Center app, the same app many of you already use to stay connected through groups, events, and serving. This update makes it easier to access your giving history and set up or manage recurring gifts—all in one place. You received a card today with your worship guide that outlines the steps to move your giving to the new platform. If you currently have a recurring gift set up, you’ll just need to take a minute to transfer it from our old platform to the new one in Church Center. Get started by going to the giving page on our website. Questions or want help? Email Liza Halverson, lhalverson@fiveoakschurch.org.

Ladies, help build community at Oaks
You’re invited! Join us for our first Oaks Women’s Get-Together—an evening to meet new friends, build community, and grow together as a new church family. We will be getting together on Thursday, February 26, from 7–9 pm. If you’re interested, click here.

The Bible plan you’ll actually finish
No more confusion—just clarity. Listen to the Bible in 10 minutes a day with this 40-day plan. Perfect if you don’t have time for Story of God, want a refresher, or want to invite a searching friend. Join the March 2 launch by signing up here.

Volunteers: Join us for Oaks Kids “Growing Together”
We’re inviting all Oaks Kids volunteers to join us on Monday, March 2 from 6:30–8 pm at Five Oaks Church as we align around our mission and continue building a ministry where every child feels safe, known, and growing in their love for Jesus. We’ll celebrate wins, sharpen our focus, solve real problems, share ideas, and learn together. For all the details and to register, click here. Email Kayleigh Allred, kallred@oakscg.church, with questions.

What does God see when he looks at your heart?
The men of 1 Samuel weren’t polished heroes—they were complex, flawed leaders who made mistakes just like we do today. Their stories challenge us to look beneath the surface and examine the gap between the image we present and the condition of our hearts. Journeymen, our men’s ministry, is launching a 10-session video study on 1 Samuel beginning in March. Join us as we learn from their successes, failures, and the faithfulness of God through it all. Wednesday nights, starting March 4, and Saturday mornings, starting March 7. Questions? Email Matt Karasek at matthewade77@gmail.com.

Join our team (Oaks Kids)
Every week, kids are discovering who Jesus is—through stories, games, laughter, and love. It’s beautiful. It’s a little chaotic. And it matters more than we realize. Kids Ministry isn’t about being perfect. It’s about loving kids well and helping shape faith in the next generation. We’d love for you to join in this life-changing work. Interested or have questions? Email Kayleigh Allred, kallred@oakscg.church.

Registration open for FCA Sports Camp
FCA Sports Camp, on July 6-9,
is four action-packed days of helping kids connect to their faith using sports. Registration is now open for current 4th-5th grade students. (Registration will be available for sixth graders in late March. More to come!) For more information and to register as a camper or volunteer, click here. Email Mindy Wissink, mwissink@fiveoakschurch.org, with questions.
