A Light in the Longing - Week 1

Waiting is one of the hardest parts of the Christian life. We long for God to move, to heal, to answer prayers that sit deep beneath the surface. In Luke 1:5–25, we meet Zechariah and Elizabeth—an ordinary couple who spent decades waiting with disappointment, longing, and quiet faithfulness. Their story reminds us that God is never absent in the waiting. He works through the mundane routines of life, through supernatural moments of grace, and even through our doubts. In this sermon, Pastor Henry Michael invites us to see waiting not as wasted time but as an invitation to deeper trust, hope, and participation in God’s story.
