A Light in the Longing - Week 3

Video of this sermon will be available on Monday, December 15.

In Luke 2:1–7, we’re invited to see the Christmas story with fresh eyes. This passage doesn’t give us all the details we often imagine, but it does spotlight the main thing: God is redefining power through the quiet, humble birth of Jesus. While Caesar flexes the strength of an empire, God moves through an unnoticed couple, a crowded town, and a manger that no one thought twice about. This sermon explores how our own pursuit of control—whether at home, work, or in the world around us—can distract us from the true source of hope. You’ll be encouraged to chase God, not power, and to see how his grace meets you in your most ordinary moments.
