Who’s waiting for your invite?
We’re only a couple weeks away from our public launch! We’ve been praying and preparing for this date for months, and we are excited to see how God will work in Oaks Church. As we continue to finalize details, please continue to pray for who God wants you to invite to Oaks Church. Many of us have unchurched neighbors, co-workers, and acquaintances from kids’ activiies, among others. Spend time praying for opportunities to invite these people to Oaks Church starting Sunday, September 28.
From classroom to church in 60 minutes (or less)
Looking for a way to jump in and bless your church or bless Oltman? Join our set-up and take-down team. We need help converting middle school classrooms into welcoming kids ministry spaces, and then we need help resetting the classrooms after we finish using them. This is an essential behind-the-scenes role that not only helps our kids feel comfortable and welcomed at church, but also blesses the teachers of Oltman when they find their classroom “untouched” on Monday. Wednesday nights are the best night of the week, and this fall it all starts on September 17, 6-8 pm for middle schoolers, and 7-9 pm for high schoolers at Five Oaks Church. Each student is welcomed by leaders who create a space for fun and growth through worship, teaching, and small groups. Invite your friends – you just don’t know who needs to learn more about Jesus. Guys, join us for a study of Joshua
In eight-week video series, pastor Louie Giglio will show that our story today isn’t too far removed from Joshua and the Israelites: we need the same strength, courage, and faith to face the challenges in our lives. We’ll explore what it means to follow God faithfully, no matter what obstacles are before you. Saturdays at 7 am at Five Oaks starting September 20, or Wednesdays, 6:15-7:45 pm, starting on September 24, at Oltman Middle School. Email Matt Karasek with questions.
