Find your place
Life’s better in community, and it’s much better when you’re growing in your faith with others. As our church continues to grow, the new year is the perfect time to find your people and grow closer to God. The two best ways to start building community are by joining a small group or finding a place to serve. Small groups meet in homes a couple of times a month to share meals, talk about Scripture, pray together, and build real friendships. Serving is another way to start building real connections with others at church. If you’re new around here, we’d love to help you get connected. Email Henry Michael to get started.
Interested in taking Story of God?
Do you ever find the Bible confusing or wonder how you fit into God’s plan? Consider taking Story of God, an eight-week guided journey through the Bible. Those who have taken the class have gained a greater understanding of how the Bible fits together to tell one big story. Learn how you fit into the bigger story that God has for your life. You’ll meet with a cohort once a week and can expect about 30 minutes of outside work each day. We have two classes starting on February 7. Details and registration here.
Volunteers: Please join us for Growing Together!
Our kids ministry is growing, and we’re so thankful for all you do! We’d love to gather on January 27 from 6–7:30 pm to celebrate what’s going well, talk through ways we can grow, and continue building a kids ministry where kids are safe, known, and growing in their love for Jesus. Men’s Summit is a chance to step away from the noise, reset your soul, and reconnect with God and other men. Join us January 30–February 1 at Ironwood Springs Christian Ranch for a weekend of teaching with keynote speaker Aaron Keyes, great conversations, and all levels of fun—from boot hockey and basketball to games, movies, and downtime. A morning of encouragement for Christian educators
Christian public school educators, step away from the demands of the week and start your Saturday with encouragement, connection, and hope at the 5th Annual East Metro Compass Educator Breakfast. Enjoy a hot breakfast, worship, and stories of God at work in our schools, plus a keynote to help you face the challenges ahead with renewed faith. Help your student find community
Do you have a student looking for a place where they’ll be seen, known, and heard? Come check out Five Oaks Students on Wednesday Nights. Middle school meets from 6-8 pm; high school runs from 7-9 pm. Your student can expect time to connect with other students and adults who are passionate about pointing them to Christ, games, worship, a talk, and discussion group time. Questions? Celebrating an amazing winter retreat
Last weekend, 79 high school students and 17 leaders gathered at Wood Lake Camp for our first year of Deepen. This winter retreat was a great opportunity for students to dig deeper into their relationship with God as we studied the Holy Spirit and explored spiritual gifts together. We also bonded through outdoor winter activities, an unforgettable lip sync competition, a late-night hike and bonfire, and more. We’re thankful for the ways we see God at work in the lives of our students!
