Weekend of February 1

Many wins for Drive Season

Because of your generosity, Drive Season made a real impact in our community. Together, our Oaks family donated nearly 400 items to support Hope for the Brave and The Dwelling Place, helping families and individuals in meaningful, tangible ways. As a new church, you showed up—sharing not just resources, but time, care, and compassion. Thank you for being a church that moves toward need and loves our neighbors well.

A few spots remain for Story of God

Do you ever find the Bible confusing or wonder how you fit into God’s plan? Consider taking Story of God, an eight-week guided journey through the Bible. Those who have taken the class have gained a greater understanding of how the Bible fits together to tell one big story. Learn how you fit into the bigger story that God has for your life. You’ll meet with a cohort once a week and can expect about 30 minutes of outside work each day. We have two classes starting on February 7 at Five Oaks Church. Details and registration here.

A morning of encouragement for Christian educators
Christian public school educators, step away from the demands of the week and start your Saturday with encouragement, connection, and hope at the 5th Annual East Metro Compass Educator Breakfast. Enjoy a hot breakfast, worship, and stories of God at work in our schools, plus a keynote to help you face the challenges ahead with renewed faith. Saturday, February 7, at Five Oaks Church (breakfast 8:20 am; program 9–11 am). RSVP by February 3 here.

Help your student find community
Do you have a student looking for a place where they’ll be seen, known, and heard? Come check out Five Oaks Students on Wednesday Nights. Middle school meets from 6-8 pm; high school runs from 7-9 pm. Your student can expect time to connect with other students and adults who are passionate about pointing them to Christ, games, worship, a talk, and discussion group time. Questions? Email Kyler Albert.

Stay connected to what your kids are learning
Want to know what your kids are learning, singing, and experiencing in Oaks Kids each month? Our Kids Director sends a monthly email to help parents stay in the loop and keep faith conversations going at home. If you’re not receiving it yet, email Kayleigh Allred, kallred@oakscg.church.
